The Sierra Leone Civil Aviation Authority (SLCAA) issued a

press release on the recent helicopter incident near

Newton, providing important details on the situation.

The helicopter was en route from Monrovia to Banjul via Lungi,

holding an overflight and landing permit number Lp/010823-057 for a technical stop.

Following the incident, the Authority conducted an Inspection of the aircraft.
