Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning's Pom Klementieff on Unleashing Her "Tiger" [Exclusive Interview]
It is unusual for an actor to enter a franchise that has already had six films and then steal the show in a small number of sequences.
That becomes exponentially more difficult (dare I say impossible?) when dealing with the likes of a series such as "Mission: Impossible," which traditionally stacks the field.
With Tom Cruise's latest death-defying stunt, a thrilling marriage between seamless VFX and practical stunt work, and an ensemble cast filled to the brim with heavy-hitters.
It wasn't easy for Pom Klementieff to enter the fray of "Dead Reckoning Part 1" and make an impact right away.
But she succeeds in doing so with her almost silent portrayal of Paris, a formidable assassin working with Esai Morales' evil Gabriel and the enigmatic, algorithmic Entity.
Klementieff is no new to the spotlight, having played the compassionate Mantis throughout James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy" trilogy and many other Marvel projects.
But in "Dead Reckoning," both the actor and the film's director Christopher McQuarrie saw an opportunity to exercise some very different muscles.
That much became evident during the course of my Zoom interview with Klementieff, who was candid about her love of the "Mission: Impossible" films as a child.
NBA: Another player leaves Stephen Curry's Warriors. THANK YOU !
