After days of waiting, BTS' Jungkook "GMA" concert was canceled due to thunder and lightning.
THE NEW YORK Crowds that had gathered along several blocks of Fifth Avenue for days to watch BTS'
Jungkook sing Central Park were forced to disperse Friday when the K-pop star's concert was canceled due to bad weather.
In the end, lightning and thunder caused 25-year-old Jungkook to pre-record three songs for the "GMA Summer Concert Series," according to WABC.
Prior to that, however, the crowd arrived prepared with blankets, hand sanitizer, air mattresses, novels, refreshments, water, and portable fans to beat the heat.
Some of these fans eventually got to watch the celebrity perform. Many chose the more hygienic options,
such as the nearby Apple Store and Starbucks, while portable toilets were first in line on 72nd Street.
Parker Wilson, 18, and Shelley Wilson, a 44-year-old Air Force contractor from Hampton Roads, Virginia, told the Daily News that they "drove all night" on Tuesday.
The devoted BTS fan claimed that having tickets was "no guarantee" of entry, even after waiting days to obtain them.
